Dooyoo.co.uk is a shopping site based in the UK. It features bargains to be found on other websites, as well as consumer-written reviews of products. The Dooyoo Navigator is the site’s search engine, which enables you to do price comparisons as well as perform searches for specific products. The search button can be found near the top of the page – see where it says, “What can we help you find?” Simply type in the name of the product you want to search for, then press the orange ‘Search’ button.

You may see many results – or none at all – depending on what product you’ve done a search for. If the product is available at a number of sites, simply press ‘compare prices’ to see what prices the different sites are offering. If there are any user-written reviews available, then the phrase ‘overall rating’ will be visible under the item. Ratings displayed are from a maximum of five possible stars. You will also be able to see the number of reviews available, and reviews will be displayed for your perusal simply by pressing on ‘reviews’.
After you’ve done a product search, as well as the search bar near the top, you’ll see another search bar at the bottom of the screen. This is for your convenience, to prevent you from having to scroll right back to the top of the screen in order to do another search. Your first search phrase will also conveniently still be displayed, so that you can make any changes, or narrow your search, without having to go through the trouble of typing it all out again. The one exception is if you have typed in a search phrase in quotes – in this case it won’t automatically reappear in the search box.
Reviews are only provided for products that are included in the Dooyoo catalog. If you’re in search of a review of a particular product, after doing your search press the green button near the bottom of the screen that’s labelled, “Only products in the Dooyoo catalog”. On the other hand, if you’re only interested in products available at other sites, choose the link just below that one, that’s labelled, “Only offers from online shops”. These links both do a search for the product you’re after, but only display the results in the category you’ve chosen.
The Dooyoo Navigator search engine is reasonably efficient, although it does lack the ability to organize results by particular categories, such as by nearest match or price. Nor does it feature an advanced search – although you can search using modifiers such as “=” or “-” to achieve more specific results.
