Internet explorer is no doubt, most used web browser in the world. Microsoft has released developer preview of Internet explorer 10, which will be shipped with Windows 8 in final version. There will be 2 flavor of IE10 available in Windows 8, one of which is standard IE and other one is Metro IE.

MetroIE in Action
Metro IE is designed to run on Touch devices like Tablets and other mobile devices and will be plug-in free, with minimal UI interface. It has only basic browser function available like Address bar, Go, Back forward etc. There will be no plug-in support for Metro IE, even no Adobe Flash. Running Metro IE without plug-in with increase speed of browsing and also results in greater Battery life. It will also add up in better security and reliability of this famous web browser. Finally after a long time we see Microsoft talking about reliability and security of Web browser.
In recent past it seemed that Microsoft don’t care for user experience as far as Web browser is concerned, At least form IE 7 it was evident. but this version of IE- Metro IE will have better protection for Users’ privacy as well.
Now the day’s most sites are going towards running without using any plug-in, like Google’s HTML5 based plug-in free interface. It was necessary as well, because now the days number of plugging to smoothly browse the web was rapidly increasing which leads to installation and management of lot of plugging. This also creates reliability and security issues. Also user experience goes down every time you visit a website and it says you need to install a particular plug-in. but with IE 10 and HTML5 most site will start giving you plug-in free experience.
We are sure that after reading this much about MetroIE and IE10 you must be excited to try it, well good news is that you can try it if you own the Windows 7 box. To install Metro IE you first need to install IE10, the core of both version of IE10, is same and that is why you must have Ie10 installed on your windows 7 machine in order to use MetroIE. Both version of IE 10 supports only windows 7 and Windows 8, they are not available for Vista/XP so if you running an old version of Windows OS you cannot run it live.
When you start MetroIE, it will start in full screen mode, with Address bar, go/Reload button and Back& forward button on a single bar. This bar is by default shown at lower side of IE instead of upper side, this is another good feature for Touch device users.
