The Toshiba A665-S6058 was visibly similar to previous Satellite laptops. The laptop chassis is a charcoal-gray. Its 16-inch display resolution is a  1,366×768, which is common. The keys offer a solid feel, with little or no flex. Below the keyboard is a touch pad with matte-finish. Multitouch gestures like two-finger scrolling is supported. The touch-pad can be disabled if you wish to attach a mouse.

Toshiba has added Nvidia Optimus graphics with an Intel processor Core i5. The graphics is able to swap between a 1GB GeForce GT330M giving a 3D performance spurt and an integrated Intel 64MB GMA HD to sustain battery life. Enabling of Toshiba’s Eco Mode, also extends battery life.

One of the best things I like about the new Samsung NC20 is that unlike most Netbooks it has 12.1 inch screen and actually one of the very few laptops with Via’s Nano CPU. Here are some of the features of this laptop: It has a1.3GHz Via Nano processor, RAM of 1GB, VGA output, Bluetooth 2.0, a 1.3 megapixel camera which is quite useful for video conferencing, hard drive of 160GB and comes with Windows XP.

Another excellent feature of this laptop is that it actually has a larger touchpad compared to most of the netbooks. The full-size keyboard seems to be easy to use; however, there seem to be no quick launch buttons. This however is a common thing for most netbooks. The laptop does not have HDMI ports or ExpressCard slots.

As, mentioned above this is one of the few netbooks with a 12 inch LCD screen. It offers a 1,280 by 800 pixel resolution. In addition, it has Chrome9 graphics, which give it an edge over most of the netbooks that usually use Intel 945 graphics. The measurements of the laptop are 11.5 inches wide and 8.5 inches deep. The weight of the netbook without the adapter is 3.3 pounds and 4.1 pounds with the adapter.

The audio quality of the NC20 seems to be above satisfactory. It may not be the ideal gaming laptop, however that being said the video quality isn’t that bad either.

The new design of the Via Nano CPU in this laptop seems to give it an edge in some cases over most netbook which have Intel’s Atom processor.

The battery life of the laptop may not be the best in the market like Acer Eee PC 1000HE; however, the six-cell battery is pretty good when compared to laptops like Dell Mini 12.

The laptop comes at a price of $549.00.

It provides a gaming experience that many laptops can not match with. Here are some of the features of this PC: it comes with a 2.8 GHz Intel Core Duo Processor, 6 GB RAM, it has dual ATI video cards and the screen is 18.4, which is actually pretty awesome for games and movies. Even though this laptop is not the lightest of laptops at 13.2 pounds (16 pounds with adapter), it is one of the better mobile gaming laptops. It comes with Windows Vista Home Premium. One thing to consider, however, thing is that it’s quite expensive compare to other laptops, costing around $2,199.

The LCD screen resolution is 1920 by 1080 pixel and is ideal for 1080p HD content. The measurement of the laptop is 17.4 wide and 12.9 inches deep. The Asus W90Vp-X1 also comes with a 2 Megapixel camera, which is quite convenient for video conferencing. The design isn’t really very stylish or exciting, but rather quite simple. Its blue metal from the outside and the inside is black. The keyboard is quite small compared to the rest of the laptop.

Asus W90Vp-X1 also has space for and extra hard drive and an amazing 5.1 speaker system certified by Dolby, with superb audio quality. The performance of the laptop’s processor is almost unbeatable when operating in overclock mode, beating the performance of laptops like Gateway P-7808u and Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q725. The laptop, however, doesn’t have a very long battery life, even though equipped with a 12 cell battery, the downside of using desktop components. If you are seriously looking for a laptop with the performance capacity of a desktop PC, I’d say that it’s a small downside.
