Windows 7 which is the new release of the Microsoft Company has several new features and functions imbibed in it which were not included in the previous versions of the Windows. They are of huge advantage to the computer users. Some of the prominent features of windows 7 are as follows:
- Windows Media Center.
- Windows Media Player.
- Windows Search.
- Windows Gadget Platform.
- Internet Explorer.
You can enable or disable any of the features mentioned above as per your needs because at one time you may not require all the features offered by the Windows 7. This is very simple procedure to enable or disable any feature. This was not the case with the older versions of Windows. For disabling the Gadget you must go to the “Windows Features” portion of the control panel where it is located. But before doing so, bring up the Windows Features from the control panel. For this go to the control panel option by clicking on the Start button on the screen. Next click on the option called “Programs” and there you choose the option “Turn Windows Features On or off”.

Find the option named Windows Gadget Platform and look at the check box beside it. If the check box is checked, click on it and remove the check mark from it. After doing so, click “ok” button to terminate the operation and now the Windows Gadget Feature is disabled. But if the check box is already free from check mark, then the Gadget feature is already disabled. In future if you need to use this feature again, follow the same procedure as mentioned above and click on the check box. The presence of check mark in the check box will indicate that Windows Gadget feature is enabled.
