There’s nothing very eye-catching about the Verizon Wireless CDM8950. The CDM8950 is 3.7 inches long, 7.9 inches wide and 0.8 inches thick. It weighs around 3.2 ounces. Towards the front of the phone there is a 1 inch display that can support 65,000 different colors. It displays the time, date, battery, signal and caller ID. The display could also be used to view your portrait while taking a picture of yourself and to also view the current track being played on the music player.
Even though the keys are like they’re squeezed close together, however are elevated from the surface, making it much easier to feel the keys even if you can’t take out the phone and look at the keys. The call quality of the phone is superb. The speakerphone is not as clear, however, there are no major problems in communication. The EV-DO is an excellent speed helps quickly downloading files and loading web pages. Considering it’s a free phone it is quite surprising that it has so many fantastic features.
